Just a quick post...

I found a piece on buzzfeed with pictures of people having selfies with camels!!

They are all great but I really think mine (from Israel, this summer) is the best!

October

YAY!

It is my one of my favorite months of the year. Just as winter starts to set in and Halloween is nearly here.

I am continuing my job hunt which is quite draining but have a few things lined up which is really promising. Still staying calm with living at home and trying to keep busy. I have been keeping up with the gym and maintaining my 'post break up' weight loss. My mum has been really supportive during the past few months and I can not thank her enough.

I am working for boots one day a week, the rest of my time has led me to keep updated on everything going on around. I wanted to say a little piece at how sad I was to hear that the body of missing Alice Gross was found in a river. I have followed the news of this case since it made light in the media. I was really heartbroken and can not even begin to imagine what her family are going through. I hope they can find a little bit of comfort in the fact they can lay her to rest. R.I.P Alice.

I am thinking of keeping a more up to date blog. Maybe a monthly in-depth post.

Bye for now

Post Uni....

I am really missing Leeds and uni life. I have been home for a while right now, the job hunt is in full swing (even though I have an application with the met police!!).

It does take some getting used to living back home. I miss the freedom of having my own place. However, with all the changes, my mum has been great and I am actually enjoying living at home. It is great to be back in London and all my friends are near by.

I found this piece on Buzzfeed which really captures the fun of living back home!

I have put my finishing touches on my room, which has made it nice and cosy. I have got back into reading too, this really helps me relax. I am currently reading 'before I go to sleep.' I want to try and finish it in time to see the movie which is currently out now.

Sad news in the media...

As I lay in bed last night, I saw on the news ( as it broke) that Robin Williams had passed away.
I have grown up watching his films. His funny nature and bubbly personality always made everyone smile. There are a lot of rumors floating around the internet in regards to his death. It is such a great loss to the world and he will be sorely missed.

Israel Tour

I have just got back from the most amazing month of my life. In January ( in the midst of all the uni work I had) I decided to sign up to lead Israel tour with FZY. This would involve taking 44 15.16 year olds around Israel for a month. Despite the fact it was the hardest month of my life, I had the best time ever. The kids were amazing and great fun but so were my Tsevet (team). I had the best time bonding with them, having lots of laughs and deep conversations. I learnt a lot about myself during this time.

Dealing with the pressures of looking after so many kids is one thing, but in a country where there were risks of rocket attacks made things even harder. Unfortunately our tour was in Eilat for one night when a siren went off at around midnight. It was the loudest thing I have ever ever heard, it was such a rush to try and get all the kids into the bomb shelter. I actually heard to rocket explode ( it was about 10 minute walk from where we were staying). Although this was a crazy experience for everyone involved, it was something that most british kids will never experience.

The rest of the trip was amazing and now that I am home I really miss the kids! I have them all on facebook and we have a tour reunion soon, I am really looking forward to seeing them!

I DID IT!

I don't think I am suited to this blogging life. I always forget to update it for major things. So second year came to a beautiful end. Can't really believe that I am going into my last year of university.

In May I manged to reach my goal of raising £2,500 for Childreach International. In July (despite a few delays and flight changes) I flew out the AFRICA! I had the most amazing time. I have set up another blog which details my whole journey about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. It was one of the most amazing yet hardest things I have ever done in my life. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the very top as I fainted but it was the most unreal experience. I have included some pictures from my trip.

Quick update!

So I have already raised an amazing £1000!!!!!!!!!
With lots of help from my amazing friends and family I have raised a great amount. I'm not sure if anyone actually reads my blog but I thought I would link up some information about how to donate. I am raising money for Childreach International who 'unlocks the potential of some of the world’s most marginalised children. By breaking down barriers that stop them from living as children should, we provide thousands of children every year with a chance to transform their lives.'

Here is my Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/HayleyClimbsKilimanjaro/info

Thanks for taking the time to look!
